A lot of scripts were torn up in conference tournaments this weekend. The Syracuse Orange women’s lacrosse team headed into Sunday as a favorite for the 4 spot in the NCAAT. That is, until Northwestern knocked off No. 1 Maryland in the Big Ten Tournament final. That win undoubtedly moved the Wildcats into the coveted top four. SU will have to be content with the No. 5 seed and a home field advantage plus a first round bye. They will face the winner of Penn (12-5) and Georgetown (11-8) in the second round on Sunday, May 12.
