While we all wait and see where Tyler Lydon, and perhaps Andrew White III and others, go in the 2017 NBA Draft held this June, the Syracuse Women’s Basketball squad found itself in the spotlight on Thursday evening.

For the first time in the WNBA Draft, two Orange ladies got selected, according to an announcement from Cuse.com. Guards Brittney Sykes and Alexis Peterson went to the Atlanta Dream and the Seattle Storm, respectively.
Atlanta chose Sykes with the seventh pick in the first round, the highest Syracuse Women’s Basketball player ever selected, according to Cuse.
