Syracuse women's basketball spreads points around to overpower Towson

Syracuse, N.Y. -- Digna Strautmane led the way with 19 points as a balanced Syracuse women's basketball attack routed Towson 98-55 on Sunday in the Carrier Dome.

Five players reached double figures in points for Syracuse, including Miranda Drummond (17), Gabrielle Cooper (15) and Maeva Djaldi-Tabdi (15 each) and Tiana Mangakahia (13). Mangakahia paced SU with 12 assists and Drummond grabbed 10 rebounds.

The 98 points is the Orange's highest output this season.

No. 12 SU improved to 7-2 with the convincing win. It was a much-needed bounceback effort after a 72-68 loss at Minnesota on Thursday.
