Syracuse women's basketball players get experience in international play

A quartet of Syracuse women's basketball players are polishing their skills for the Orange with some high-level competition overseas.

Four Syracuse women's basketball players

Maeva Djaldi Tabdi, Marie-Paule Foppossi, Kadiatou Sissoko and Digna Strautmane are competing on the world stage this week in Sopron, Hungary, at the FIBA U20 Women's European Championship.

Djaldi Tabdi, Foppossi and Sissoko are playing for their home country of France while Strautmane is leading the Latvian squad. France is in Group B while Latvia is playing in Group C during the group phase of competition.

In Latvia's first game, Strautmane tallied a double double with 12 points and 13 rebounds in a 70-62 win over Poland.
