Syracuse, N. Y. — The Syracuse University women's basketball team has come a long ways this season to start its NCAA Tournament drama by going almost nowhere.
And the Orange couldn't ask for a better launching point.
The NCAA women's selection committee confirmed what had long been expected on Monday night: SU will get a chance to play at least one, and maybe two, contests in the first round of tournament action this weekend in its Carrier Dome.
Syracuse (25-7) is the No. 4 seed in the Sioux Falls Region, its best seed in school history, and will play No.
