Syracuse, N.Y. -- The Syracuse women's basketball team will play Coastal Carolina on Dec. 21 in the Carolinas Challenge in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
The announcement of that contest completes the team's 2017-18 non-conference schedule.
This marks the first time that Syracuse and Coastal Carolina will meet in women's basketball.
Coastal Carolina finished the 2016-17 season with a 13-16 overall record. Senior guard Jas Adams is the team's leading returning scorer, after averaging 6.2 points per game.
