The Syracuse Orange women’s basketball team entered its Thursday night game versus the Virginia Cavaliers with a greater sense of urgency. The Orange entered the contest with three losses in a row, failing to score more than 57 points as the team’s offense seemed to lag behind the rest of the conference.
But against Virginia, Syracuse (14-7, 5-5) suppressed all the doubts with its scoring potential as the team reached 90 points for the first time since January 8 and just the fourth time all season en route to a 90-72 home victory over the Cavaliers (14-7, 3-7).
