On Sunday, the Syracuse Orange women’s basketball team got back on track with an 82-48 win over the UMBC Retrievers. After four straight games away from the Carrier Dome, SU looked right at home in the win.
Syracuse started a bit slow, only holding a 17-15 lead after one quarter, and extended the lead to 38-27 by half. They never took their collective feet off the gas after, coasting to the 34-point victory.
Digna Strautmane had 17 points to lead the way for the Orange, and was one of five Orange players in double figures.
