In a match between ACC foes, the Tar Heels came away with a seven-point victory Saturday in Chapel Hill.
Coming off of an overtime loss to Notre Dame earlier in the week, the Orange (9-6, 2-4 ACC) were looking to win their third conference game of the season. No. 2 UNC (12-2, 5-1 ACC) would be having none of that. After a slow start, the Heels went on a 6-1 run from 20:48 to go in the half until the buzzer. All six of their goals were scored by different players. Kayla Treanor, Caroline Webster, and Gabby Jaquith were the lone scorers in the first half, all with one a-piece.
