Syracuse held Duke to 27 percent shooting from three-point land and escaped with a 64-62 win on the road.
Syracuse and Duke certainly didn't get off to auspicious starts on the offensive end as it took 2 minutes and 12 seconds for either team to get points on the board. Both teams were in need of a win as Syracuse was 2-4 in the conference while Duke was on a two game slide. This was very much a battle on the defensive end as Syracuse shot 35.2 percent from the floor whereas Duke shot 37.1 percent.
Tyler Roberson had the play of the game early when Michael Gbinije drove the lane to throw "Plugged in Robie" a lob and Roberson responded by throwing down a left handed tomahawk.
