Syracuse, N.Y. -- Syracuse has sold more than 26,000 tickets ahead of its game against No. 2 Virginia, meaning the game will be played in front of the biggest college basketball crowd of the season so far.
Syracuse Associate Athletics Director for Business Development Anthony Di Fino said Friday that Syracuse had surpassed 26,000 tickets sold and that he was hopeful numbers would climb higher by game time.
"I generally don't give specifics but we're selling pretty well this week," Di Fino said. "We should, right now, have 26,000-plus. If the last game went a little differently would we sell faster?
