When the USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships kick off in Des Moines Iowa this week there will be several Syracuse Orange alums competing. Spots in this year’s World Championships are on the line so this year’s USA meet takes on extra significance.
Starting things off on Thursday evening is Sarah Pagano in the women’s 10000m run. Pagano enters with the third-fastest time in the event this season (31:51.66) which she ran back in May. That time puts her behind Molly Huddle and Emily Sisson but Sarah will need to not only finish in the top 3 but also reach the IAAF standard of 31:50 in the process.
