Syracuse soccer star leaving school early for pro career

Syracuse midfielder Mo Adams has agreed to a Generation adidas contract offer from Major League Soccer (MLS). Adams will forego his final two years of college eligibility and enter the 2018 MLS SuperDraft, which is set for Jan. 19 in Philadelphia.

Adams has been a two-year starter for the Orange in the midfield. He was voted to the All-Atlantic Coast Conference second team in 2017 after starting all 16 matches he played. Adams was named to the Watch List for the Missouri Athletic Club (MAC) Hermann Trophy, which goes to the top collegiate player in the nation.

Last season, Adams was selected to the All-South Region second team and the All-ACC third team.
