Syracuse QB Eric Dungey (head) and hybrid Erv Philips (lower body) 'looking good' to play against USF

Syracuse, N.Y. — Syracuse offensive coordinator Tim Lester is hopeful to have injured quarterback Eric Dungey (upper body) and hybrid Erv Philips (lower body) back for the team's game at South Florida on Oct. 10, he told ESPN.com's Andrea Adelson.

"We're still 11 days out, but from the words we're hearing, it's looking good to have both of them back," Lester told ESPN.com.

Dungey, a freshman, is working his way back from an apparent head injury suffered in the second quarter of the Orange's 30-27 overtime win against Central Michigan two weeks ago. He took a vicious helmet-to-helmet hit from CMU defensive end Mitch Stanitzek, who was ejected for targeting, and hasn't played since.
