Syracuse, N.Y. -- Syracuse football coach Dino Babers earned $2.4 million in compensation during his first year leading the football program, according to the university's most recent federal tax filing.
That's an increase of nearly $1 million from his predecessor, Scott Shafer and would rank Babers 49th on USA Today's list of head football coaching salaries that was published last year.
Babers' total compensation ranks him 10th of the 14 football coaches in the ACC. He is ahead of North Carolina's Larry Fedora, North Carolina State's Dave Doeren, Pittsburgh's Pat Narduzzi and Wake Forest's Dave Clawson.
