SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Orange football team finished No. 15 in both the final Associated Press Top 25 and Amway Coaches Poll on Tuesday, Jan. 8. It's the first time Syracuse has appeared in the final college football rankings since finishing 14th in both polls at the conclusion of the 2001 season.
Syracuse earned 683 points in the AP poll and 720 points in the coaches' rankings to move up two spots from No. 17 after defeating West Virginia in the Camping World Bowl.
A finalist for three national coach of the year awards, Dino Babers guided the Orange to a 10-3 overall record and a 6-2 mark in ACC play.
