Syracuse, N.Y. -- Symir Torrence, the solidly built 6-foot-3 point guard from Syracuse, has made two official basketball visits thus far. He traveled to Butler last weekend, is at Marquette today and will visit Cincinnati Nov. 6-7.
Syracuse offered Torrence a scholarship after he appeared (for the second straight year) at the Orange's Elite Camp a few weeks ago. Torrence grew up in Syracuse but now plays at Vermont Academy, where he is a junior.
He is taking advantage of new NCAA recruiting rules that permit high school juniors opportunities to take official recruiting visits.
