The Syracuse Orange (#24) traveled down to Raleigh, to take on the North Carolina State Wolfpack (#21) in a battle of ranked ACC teams. They’re coming home with a point after the 1-1 draw.
The Orange opened the match quick, scoring in the fifth minute to take the lead 1-0. Taking advantage of a corner kick, Syracuse’s Hugo Delhommelle served in a curling ball to Sondre Norheim, who put away the header to put the Orange ahead.
Throughout the first half, the Orange continued to knock on the door, outshooting the Wolfpack 9-2, but nothing was able to break through.
