Syracuse men’s cross country takes Northeast Regional title

Coming into Friday’s Northeast Regional race, the Syracuse Orange men’s cross-country team was looking to build momentum before the NCAA Championships. I think it’s safe to say that the team accomplished that goal. Led by Justyn Knight’s fourth straight win in 2016, Syracuse took the team title with a score of 29 points.

As they did during the ACC Championships, the Orange placed all 5 scorers in the top 10 to easily outdistance the Iona Gaels who finished in 2nd with 65 points. Knight’s winning time was 30:30 over the 10k course at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx.
