On Thursday the Syracuse Orange men’s basketball program announced a Dec. 9 meeting with the Georgetown Hoyas and with that, the non-conference schedule is complete, according to Syracuse.com’s Mike Waters. With that in mind we take a deeper dive on the scheduling approach under first-year head coach Adrian Autry, one that doesn’t deviate too far from scheduling in years past.
Non-conference scheduling has always been a bit of a double-edged sword that has only become more delicate with an annual multi-team even (MTE), conference series matchups (ACC/SEC Challenge) and for Syracuse specifically, the Georgetown series.
