Syracuse Orange linebacker Parris Bennett will play in the 2018 East-West Shrine Game, according to an announcement by SU. He’s the second Orange player to accept an invite to the game so far, joining offensive tackle Jamar McGloster as part of the East roster.
As a senior, Bennett led Syracuse in tackles for the second straight season, notching 115 in 12 games. He also had 11 tackles for loss, two sacks, two pass breakups and a forced fumble. For his efforts, he was twice named the ACC linebacker of the week this year, and received (second-team) All-ACC honors from both the conference and Associated Press.
