Syracuse lacrosse the national pace-setter in attendance again

Syracuse, N.Y. -- The Syracuse men's lacrosse team once again took home the NCAA attendance crown, with 34,271 fans passing through Carrier Dome turnstiles this season to watch the Orange this season.

SU edged Maryland by 1,241 fans, with the Terps serving as the only other school to cross the 25,000 spectator mark in 2017 (33,030) fans at their games. Johns Hopkins (24,775), Denver (24,583) and Army West Point (22,150) rounded out the top-five

Maryland led the way in average attendance at 4,719, just ahead of Syracuse's 4,284. The two programs were the only two nationally with more than 4,000 average attendance, with only five schools (Maryland, 4,719; Syracuse, 4,284; Michigan, 3,762; Army West Point, 3,164; Navy, 3,000) posting more than 3,000 fans in average attendance.
