Syracuse Lacrosse: SU in the U-19 World Championships

While the USA dominated and took home the gold in the 2016 FIL U-19 World Championships, the Syracuse Orange had four recruits take part in the games. Fourteen nations took part in the Championship with the final standings leaving USA, Canada, and Iroquois Nation in first, second, and third respectively. The big news for Syracuse, coming out of the tournament was the play of Willie Klan. The Rochester, NY native helped USA to a 13-12 win over Canada in the Championship game with seven second-half saves and eight total.
