Syracuse, N.Y. -- Syracuse lacrosse is three weeks out from its season opener, and the Orange on Sunday finally got a chance to do something it hadn't done since its NCAA Tournament loss against Towson last May.
It got a chance to measure its progress, to evaluate a host of underclassmen and new contributors to the main lineup against a different color uniform.
"Kids were itching to get on the field," sophomore FOGO Danny Varello said. "Fall ended early, and kids are kind of lost without lacrosse, so it's kind of a big thing to take a break.
