Syracuse lacrosse opens 2018 season by blasting Binghamton

Syracuse, N.Y. -- Brendan Bomberry led an offensive onslaught with five goals and Stephen Rehfuss added three goals and two assists as the Syracuse lacrosse team pulverized Binghamton 21-4 in the season-opener Saturday in the Carrier Dome.

Syracuse broke from the gates with eight goals in the first quarter and it continued that run to put up the first 13 scores of the contest. Each of the Orange's first seven goals came from different players.

Twelve different players scored for No. 10 SU. Jamie Trimboli, Lucas Quinn and Nate Solomon each put home two apiece.

Dom Madonna started the game in net for the Orange and made four saves, giving up four goals.
