Syracuse, N.Y. -- In a contest that was expected to provide a lot more drama and challenges, the Syracuse lacrosse team instead found itself with a perfect chance to unwrap its untested talent on Saturday in the Carrier Dome.
Much of what the Orange produced in a 21-4 crushing of Binghamton in the season-opener may not be able to be replicated against tougher foes down the road.
But, at least judging by the measuring stick of one game, it looks like the Orange will once again have a lot of assets at its disposal.
Brendan Bomberry sparked a surprisingly deep attack with five goals, and fellow veteran attack Stephen Rehfuss tossed in three goals and two assists.
