But an Orange team on a roll proved his those worries baseless.
No. 8 Syracuse controlled the Statesmen on both ends of the field to breeze to an 11-4 win over their rivals Tuesday night in the Carrier Dome.
Stephen Rehfuss scored three times and added two assists while Nate Solomon and Jamie Trimboli added two goals apiece for an offense that put the Statesmen away with an 8-0 run.
