Like the Gait brothers before them and the Thompson family after them, the Powell brothers defined a significant period of lacrosse for a generation. This Saturday, Casey Powell will take the field for his final Major League Lacrosse contest. While Casey was recently named as an assistant coach for the Jacksonville Dolphins, his final MLL game will be the ending of an era in the field game.
Casey Powell currently sits at fifth overall in career MLL goals with 266, second in career assists with 254, and first in career points at 524. The eldest Powell brother graduated from Syracuse in 1998 and played in his first Major League Lacrosse game in 2001.
