Syracuse, N.Y. -- Lost in all the hoopla of the riveting Dino Babers Locker Room Talk of 2018 was one of the most important sentiments from the Syracuse football coach amid this breakout season.
It was catalogued on the heels of a 30-7 victory against Florida State back on Sept. 15, and as the season has unfolded, providing more data points of context, it has become even more prescient heading into the final game of the regular season Saturday at Boston College with second place in the division and a 10-win season still attainable.
"Right now," Babers said back in September, "we're in a race to be better in Year 4 and Year 5 and Year 6 because (Florida State) will come, and they will get better, but we need to get better as well.
