When we were breaking down the potential of a Syracuse football star being taken in the 2018 NFL Draft, four names came up. Realistically though, two names had the most realistic chance of it coming to fruition.
In bittersweet fashion only one had the honor of being taken and that was Zaire Franklin. I talked about it on the radio in Syracuse leading up to the draft, if I was going to put my money on anyone it was Franklin.
Not only is he a terrific football player, but he’s a wonderful human being.
The Indianapolis Colts made it official by taking Franklin with the 235th overall pick in the seventh round.
