Syracuse, N.Y. -- College football outlets continue to release preseason accolades as the offseason rolls on.
Two weeks ago, five Syracuse football players were named to Athlon Sports' preseason All-ACC teams. Punter Sterling Hofrichter led the way as the lone first-team selection.
Lindy's Magazine recently released its preseason All-ACC teams and three Orange players are represented. Senior inside receiver Erv Philips earned a spot on the second team while Hofrichter, a redshirt sophomore, and senior linebacker Zaire Franklin landed on the third team.
Last season, Philips posted 90 receptions, 822 receiving yards and six receiving touchdowns -- all second on the team behind Amba Etta-Tawo -- en route to earning All-ACC honorable mention by the coaches and media.
