Hailed as the Future QB of Syracuse in 2014, AJ Long finds himself needing to prove he's healthy enough to lead the Orange in 2015.
Last year, AJ Long was being hailed by many Syracuse Orange fans as the future of the Quarterback position. He was the most successful of the quarterbacks used last year. The plan for Long in 2015 was to red-shirt, since starter Terrell Hunt was back. However, when Eric Dungey was knocked out of Saturday's game against Central Michigan, both Austin Wilson and Zack Mahoney saw action while Long remained on the sidelines.
It was fair to ask if the plan to red-shirt Long was still wise, given the injuries to Hunt and Dungey.
