Syracuse, N.Y. -- Syracuse football is heading to Florida for its first bowl game in five years.
The Orange received and accepted an invitation to the Camping World Bowl, to be played Dec. 28 at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Fla., where it will face West Virginia from the Big 12 Conference. Kick time is set for 5:15 p.m., and the game will be nationally televised on ESPN.
Syracuse (9-3, 6-2 ACC) finished the regular season ranked No. 20 by the College Football Playoff selection committee. It was the second-highest ranked team from the ACC, behind conference champion Clemson, which is in the four-team playoff for the fourth-straight season.
