Syracuse, N.Y. -- The start of the Willie Taggart era at Florida State has been rough.
After getting floored in their season opener 24-3 by No. 13 Virginia Tech, the Seminoles needed a fourth-quarter pick-six to hold off No. 9 FCS Samford 36-26 on Saturday night.
But Taggart, speaking on the Atlantic Coast Conference coaches' teleconference on Wednesday, said film breakdown shows primarily fixable, technical mistakes. Not that this is surprising given FSU's elite talent intake, but Taggart doesn't see many physical failures when it comes to missed assignments thus far.
"That's why we're not panicking," Taggart said, "and we're looking ourselves in the mirror and saying, 'Hey, these are things that we can control and we can make better.
