Syracuse, N.Y. -- Syracuse football's postseason fate was revealed on Sunday afternoon.
After a breakout regular season in Year 3 of the Dino Babers era, the 20th-ranked Orange (9-3, 6-2 Atlantic Coast Conference) will face No. 16 West Virginia (8-3, 6-3 Big 12) in the Camping World Bowl on Dec. 28.
SU and the Cyclones will kick off inside Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Fla., at 5:15 p.m. The game will be broadcast on ESPN.
For the Orange, this was the best-case situation with No. 2 Clemson locked into a College Football Playoff bowl and no ACC-mandated spot in a New Year's Six bowl this year.
