We take a look at Syracuse football against Liberty in a poetic way.
Hello everyone and welcome back to my Syracuse football poetry game preview
Where I take each game and break it down in an attempt to amuse you
This edition is week 4 as we end September at home with a revenge game
Last year Liberty won and I refuse to believe the outcome will be the same
I mean let’s be fair and give them credit where the credit is due and less flack
Coach Hugh Freeze who once coached in the SEC has them on the right track
His quarterback Malik Willis is also an SEC transfer from freaking Auburn
I still remember 1987 like it was yesterday so I’m rooting for a slaughter
Willis is considered a Heisman contender after winning 10 games last year
Hopefully Butkus Award nominee Mikel Jones can put him on his rear
Defeating that Liberty defense won’t leave our offense dull
Offensive coordinator Sterlin Gilbert will have his hands full
Could this be a game where we see Taj Harris‘ draft stock see a major upsurge
Or might Anthony Queeley or Courtney Jackson excel or another name emerge
This could be a game to test how this staff and players in 2021 will manage
Thankfully the Syracuse Orange will have the Dome field advantage
So hopefully the Loud House whether it’s hot in there or cold
Will be full of fans rocking like it’s summer in Weedsport of old
Hopefully we can end my birthday month with 4 wins…yay
And fans are hungry with a bowl game only a couple of wins away
As usual, locally all Syracuse Football games can be heard on the radio on TK99
Or if you’re watching on TV, it’s an ACC Network station you can hopefully find
This is also the last game before Syracuse football begins its ACC schedule
So buckle up with something cold to drink and something you find edible
Because up next Syracuse football plays Florida State way down yonder in Tallahassee
Where the Seminoles will be ready with fans treating the Orange like the enemy
And until then, this is Orange Chuck signing off until it’s time for another poetry review
Thank you for your support so far and hopefully you’ll be back for the next one too
