Syracuse, N.Y. — The radar gun is back. After being nixed along with offensive coordinator George McDonald five weeks into Syracuse football's 2014 season, weekly tempo analyses are returning to Syracuse.com for Dino Babers' first campaign as SU head coach.
In Week 1, the Orange ran 81 plays (one every 22.5 seconds) en route to a 33-7 win over Colgate. Afterward, Babers said, "That will be the slowest game you ever see us play."
