Syracuse, N.Y. -- Syracuse football will hold its annual 'Lift for Life' event at 7 p.m. July 19 at Manley Field House.
The summer conditioning fundraiser is one of the only chances for fans to see the team before the start of the 2017 season.
Lift for Life is the main fundraising event organized by university chapters of Uplifting Athletes, a non-profit that raises money to fight rare diseases.
The format mimics a summer workout. Players will be divided into teams and will compete in a variety of events.
Syracuse University's chapter, founded in 2013, raises funds to combat anaplastic astrocytoma, a form of brain cancer that former punter Rob Long beat.
