Syracuse football safety Andre Cisco named ACC Defensive Rookie of Year

Syracuse, N.Y. -- Syracuse football safety Andre Cisco was named Atlantic Coast Conference Defensive Rookie of the Year on Tuesday.

Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence took down ACC Offensive Rookie of the Year and overall ACC Rookie of the Year, with Cisco garnering one vote in the latter poll.

A voting panel of 46 media members and the league's 14 head coaches cast ballots with only a first-place selection for each honor.

Cisco was one of the bright spots in the Orange's secondary this fall, starting 10 games at free safety and only coming off the field in early season 4-3 sets.
