Syracuse football S Devon Clarke reinstated, DE Jaquwan Nelson no longer with program

Syracuse, N.Y. -- Syracuse football safety Devon Clarke has been reinstated from suspension, SU Athletics told The Post-Standard.com/Syracuse.com. Defensive end Jaquwan Nelson is no longer with the program.

The redshirt freshmen had been suspended from the program since mid-February when they were arrested in relation to a South Campus burglary.

Clarke returns to a secondary that has undergone a significant makeover. The Orange has added a pair of graduate transfer cornerbacks in Devin Butler and Jordan Martin while two second-year players -- cornerback Scoop Bradshaw and safety Evan Foster -- earned first-team spots in the preseason depth chart.
