Syracuse, N.Y. — Syracuse received a verbal commitment from Booker T. Washington (Miami) High School wide receiver Sharod Johnson on Sunday, according to multiple reports.
The 5-foot-10, 163-pound Johnson is the Orange's second Class of 2017 pledge in as many days, following New Jersey quarterback Tommy DeVito. He made his decision shortly after being offered by SU defensive backs coach Nick Monroe, according to 247Sports.com.
Johnson is not rated by the major recruiting services and also holds offers from Temple, Toledo, Florida Atlantic and Miami (OH), among others, according to 247Sports.com. He was named third-team All-Dade County by The Miami Herald while playing for Miami Jackson High School last season and runs a 4.
