After a torrid June, it had been almost three weeks since the Syracuse Orange football program had added a recruit for 2019. That is, until Saturday afternoon:
CuseNation was the first to report the news of Dorian Hewett’s commitment, coming off a strong camp performance up at Syracuse the same day. According to CuseNation, Hewett, an unranked (at the moment) safety from Houston’s North Shore High School, was the fastest player at camp with a 4.40 40-yard dash. He stands at 5-foot-11 and 180 pounds, and the only other offer on record is from Texas A&M Commerce (DII).
