Syracuse, N.Y. — Sandy Creek (Tyrone, Ga.) High School junior defensive back Will Harper verbally committed to Syracuse after wrapping up an unofficial visit on Friday, he said via Twitter direct message.
"It has been a long journey and I appreciate all the schools that believed in me, but after great thought and consideration I am proud to announce that I plan to join the Orange Nation at The Syracuse University," Harper wrote in a note he posted on Twitter.
The 6-foot, 180-pound Harper is rated two stars by Rivals.com and holds offers from Syracuse, Navy, Western Kentucky, Army, Air Force and Eastern Michigan, among others.
