Syracuse, N.Y. — The Syracuse football coaching staff is hoping to land at least one bigger running back from the Sunshine State this cycle.
SU running backs coach Mike Hart offered Palm Bay (Melbourne, Fla.) Senior High School prospect B.J. Daniels on Wednesday and invited him up for a post-season visit, Daniels said in a phone interview Thursday.
Hart did the same for Liberty (Kissimmee, Fla.) High School senior Markenzy Pierre as well.
"They're taking one or two more guys and (Hart) wants me to be that guy," Daniels said. "He wants me to come in and play early.
