The Syracuse Orange football staff has been pretty busy in January as they look to solidify the 2019 recruiting class. After flipping three-star quarterback David Summers from Maryland over the weekend, SU was able to make another addition on Monday night:
Jason Muñoz is a three-star defensive end from St. Thomas Aquinas in Fort Lauderdale. According to 247Sports, he stands between 6-foot-3 and 6-foot-4, and already weighs 276 pounds. Muñoz was a member of Miami’s early signing period class back in December. However, the coaching change from Mark Richt to Manny Diaz allowed him to get out of his signed letter of intent, according to Stephen Bailey’s report via Miami Athletics.
