Syracuse, N.Y. — Southington (Conn.) High School quarterback Jay Rose will announce his commitment on Thursday at 2:30 p.m., he said on Twitter. Rose is choosing between finalists Syracuse and UConn.
The 6-foot-4, 225-pound Southington (Conn.) High School prospect is rated three stars and the 56th-best tight end in his class by 247Sports.com's composite rankings. After playing tight end for his first two years at Southington, he switched to quarterback as a junior and threw for 3,190 passing yards, 47 touchdowns and nine interceptions, according to The Hartford Courant. He appears to be producing at a similar rate early in his senior season as well.
