Utica, N.Y. -- Trishton Jackson scored 34 points in a King of Kings game here last week. When it was over, when fans inside the Mohawk Valley Community College had seen what he could do for Team Eannace, Jackson fielded a familiar reaction.
Basketball people wanted to know who he was.
"I just told them I played football," he said, "and am looking for a shot to play basketball, keep pursuing my dreams."
Jackson doesn't simply "play football." He chose Michigan State out of West Bloomfield High School, where he played quarterback. Converted to wide receiver, he elected to transfer to Syracuse following the 2017 football season after two years with the Spartans.
