Syracuse football RB target Robert Washington will transfer to public high school, report says

Syracuse, N.Y. — Syracuse football priority target Robert Washington, a four-star running back in the Class of 2016, will transfer from SouthLake Christian (Huntersville, N.C.) Academy to East Gaston (Mt. Holly, N.C.) High School before the school year ends, according to Langston Wertz Jr. of The Charlotte Observer.

Komica Coote, Washington's mother, said in the report that a "family matter" led to the decision and that it was unrelated to SouthLake Christian, a private Christian school with fewer than 800 students enrolled from junior kindergarten to 12th grade. Coote did not want to elaborate.
