Just when we thought the Syracuse Orange football roster was rather settled for 2018, it appears there’s a change in store yet. SU freshman running back Akeem Dixon has left the program for personal reasons.
When previewing Syracuse’s running backs this week, the thought was that the bruiser Florida ball-carrier (at 235 pounds) could potentially get some short-yardage carries early on. His departure leaves SU with just one running back for the 2018 class now, in Jarveon Howard. This is also the second time under Dino Babers that a big running back was unable to end up on the team.
