Syracuse, N.Y. -- Syracuse football senior quarterback Eric Dungey was named to the Maxwell Award Watch List on Monday morning.
Dungey, who also appeared on the preseason watch list a year ago, has a chance to finish his career this year as the program's all-time passing leader.
The Lake Oswego, Ore., native has thrown for 6,472 yards in 26 career games. He would need to pass for 2,719 yards to surpass Ryan Nassib's school record of 9,190 yards.
The Maxwell Award is annually presented to the player of the year in college football. Eighty-five players and 41 quarterbacks were nominated this year.
